A section of Muguka traders from Meru who were ejected from Siakago town in Mbeere North Constituency, Embu, following violent clash with local Community have found a new market in Ugweri Market in Runyenjes Constituency.

The traders who have been carrying out their business in the town for years were violently evicted three weeks ago following allegations that they were behind spates of motorcycle theft in the area.

The traders who are still reeling from the losses they incurred during the skirmishes said they are ready to be part of the local economic pillar.

The relocation is expected to revitalize Ugweri Market, which has been seeking new avenues of economic activity.
