Popular actress Dorea Chege is back on the screens after landing a new acting role after her last acting gig. The famous actress who rose to fame on Maria show on Citizen TV also had an exciting role on Pink Ladies. The latter was aired on Star times and also featured other TV stars like Azziad Nssenya.
The actress and her husband DJ Dibul announced the good news to the online community. On their YouTube page , the celebrated couple, in white robes relayed their excitement upon landing the acting gig.
DJ Dibul shared, “Our baby is back on TV. On a show on Citizen TV. She has gone back home. ”
Dorea, who was elated expressed her gratitude as she shared how elated she was. She said,
“I am super excited. And I just want to say, Jehovah, receive all the glory and honour because we have seen your hand. Get to watch me from every Monday to Friday, and I have a very big role,”
In a past interview, Dorea shared what her biggest challenge is while acting major roles on TV. She said,
,”This industry is not for the faint-hearted. You meet people from all walks- some with ill intentions and some with love. I meet people who are full of hatred for my role and they think am cold-hearted and a husband snatcher. Some even DM, urging me ‘niwachie Vanesa Silas wake.’”
Who is Dorea Chege?
The actress grew up in Kahawa West. Dorea pursued a Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication. She is planning to go back to school and pursue a degree. She is the firstborn in a family of three. Both of her parents are pastors.
Dorea Chege vied for the Nairobi Woman Rep seat during the last general elections. She received numerous threats from unknown people on making her desire to vie known to the public. However she stood her ground asserting that she wasn’t planning to step down. She shared,
“Let me tell you, I’m not stepping down…One thing you need to know is that I’m not a coward. I may not have that money but let me tell you, lets meet at the ballot, lets the votes talk,”
