Detectives have arrested a suspected drug trafficker in Mtwapa, Kilifi County, and recovered 35 large rolls of cannabis during an operation at his home.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the arrest followed a tip-off over narcotics activities in the area.
The suspect, identified as Musya Kaluku, also known as Hustler, was arrested at his home within Mtwapa Township.
Detectives searched the house and recovered 35 large rolls of cannabis sativa, according to the DCI.
The suspect is still in detention as the detectives work on finding out where the drugs originated from and the individuals associated with their supply.
According to the DCI, the raid was part of ongoing efforts aimed at dismantling the narcotics business and people involved in it.
The agency encouraged the public to report to detectives any information regarding the business through their toll-free and WhatsApp numbers.
