Kenyan World Darts Championship David Munyua have qualified for the 2027 Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) World Darts Championship at the Alexandra Palace.
The 2026 PDC WC secured his spot with an 8-7 defeat against Evans Njuguna in the final qualifier. He showed consistency throughout the qualifying event, with the exception of one match.
Munyua will be one of the least two African players to feature at Ally Pally at the end of this year, following the PDC’s creation of a Southern Africa qualifier that ensures at least two players from the continent are represented.
He became a champion during the 2026 World Grand Prix Dart Championship defeating Mike De Decker, losing the first two and winning the third spin shocking the World Dart Championship history.
However, in December he will cause an upset at Alexandra Palace as several popular figures have already secured their spots this year’s World Championship.
Asian Motumi Sakai and his iconic walk-on will return; Hong Kong darts player Lok Yin Lee is expected back, Ryuta Arihara, Christian Perez, Haruki Muramatsu, Paolo Nebrida and Macau Kam Weng Cheng are also expected.
David Cameron and Adam Sevada will be featured, while Argentina representative Jesus Salate is also expected, together with Brody Klinge, Mal Cuming and Kiwi Ben Robb will attend.
