Defence Cabinet Secretary Hon. Soipan Tuya on Monday, 16th June 2024, officially handed over a new 46-seater school bus to Moi Forces Academy Nairobi.
The bus was jointly donated by parents and the school’s alumni.
Equipped to accommodate learners with special needs, the modern bus is set to ease transport challenges, support academic trips, and enhance co-curricular participation.
CS Tuya reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting military-affiliated schools, calling education a pillar of national development.
Kenya Air Force Commander, Major General Fatuma Ahmed, echoed her views, emphasizing that investing in education contributes to national growth.
The school’s principal, Madam Jacqueline Okwaro, welcomed the donation, noting it will boost students’ participation in activities beyond the classroom.
Parents, students, and dignitaries, including senior military officials and education representatives, attended the handover event.
