The National Police Service (NPS) on Friday evening received the body of Corporal Kennedy Mutuku Nzuve, who tragically lost his life while serving in Haiti earlier this month.

The officer’s remains arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and were received by members of the police fraternity, led by Isaac Alimaa, Commandant of the National Police College Embakasi ‘A’ Campus.

Corporal Nzuve died in a road traffic accident on September 1, 2025, while serving under the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM) in Haiti.

His family, including his mother Serah Nzuve, was present during the solemn reception ceremony.

In an official statement, the NPS expressed its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the fallen officer, pledging unwavering support during this time of great loss.

“The service stands with the family during this period of profound sorrow. Corporal Nzuve served his country with dedication, and his sacrifice will not be forgotten,” the statement read.

The body was later transported to Chiromo Mortuary for preservation. Burial arrangements will be communicated in due course.
