It was a day of smiles, celebration, and emotional homecoming as Staff Sergeant Stanley Koech of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and his wife Judith were discharged from Eldoret Regional Hospital (ERH), proudly carrying home their four newborns one boy and three girls.
The joyful send-off marked the end of a successful medical journey and was witnessed by a delegation of dignitaries, including Brigadier John Kipya, Commandant of the Defence Forces Recruit Training School. Also present were senior ERH officers and representatives of the Military Wives Association of Kenya (MWAK), led by Mrs. Dorcas Chesire.
Brigadier Kipya conveyed warm congratulations to the Koech family on behalf of the KDF leadership, expressing best wishes for the health and well-being of the mother and her quadruplets.
He praised the medical team at ERH for their outstanding care and acknowledged the hospital’s role as a vital health institution serving the KDF and surrounding communities.
“This moment reflects not just the miracle of life, but also the strength of our military community. We are proud of ERH’s role in supporting our families and ensuring world-class healthcare,” Brig. Kipya said.
He also lauded MWAK for their unwavering support throughout the Koech family’s stay at the hospital, ensuring they never felt alone during this transformative period.
The homecoming served as a powerful reminder of the solidarity and compassion that define the KDF community an institution where service extends beyond duty, into shared joy and life’s precious moments.
