Kenyan musician Brown Mauzo has sparked online debate suggesting men should step up and actively help their partners with house chores, including cooking and doing other domestic responsibilities. His remarks caught people’s attention many suggesting on what modern relationship should look like.
Some praised him for promoting teamwork and equality while others said, its going against traditions of how roles should be done at home.
“Women are not our maids. Sometimes cook when she is unwell or surprise her with her favorite meal,” he said in a statement.
He further, encouraged men to enter in the kitchen and prepare meals, as well as surprising their partners with their favorite dish, stressing that marriage is based on equality, love, respect and caring for one another, not to leave one partner to handle everything in the house.
Mauzo noted, that small acts strengthen relationships and actively promote appreciation in them.
He has been previously linked to a relationship with socialite Vera Sidika, which drew interest from fans and the public, both having two kids. Later on, the two separated leading to co-parenting their kids that left many fans talking online. Mauzo kept his life a little bit private.
