Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has paid a heartfelt tribute to the Odinga family following the passing of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Babu visited Opoda and Kang’o ka Jaramogi—locations he described as places rich in heritage and national memory—where he met with Mama Ida Odinga to convey his condolences.
In a show of respect and solidarity, the MP presented Mama Ida with a Holy Bible, saying it would serve as “a sacred compass to illuminate her path, strengthen her spirit, and offer light for every bend in her journey.”
He also offered bulls to the family, describing the gesture as a traditional symbol of respect and a timeless way of honouring the Odinga legacy.
Babu said his visit was a tribute to Raila Odinga’s lifelong contribution to Kenya’s democracy and a message of comfort to the family during their period of mourning.
“May Baba’s soul rest in peace,” he said.
