Adin Ross, a popular American online streamer, recently returned to Twitch after a ban—and he came back with a story. During his comeback stream, Adin shared details about how rapper Playboi Carti scammed him during a planned live session.
According to Adin, he had arranged for Carti to appear on his stream for a couple of hours, where the rapper would interact with fans and freestyle. The deal? Adin would pay Carti Ksh65 million after the stream. But things didn’t go as planned.
On 5th February, Carti showed up two hours late, wearing a mask and entering a dark room. Over 500,000 people were watching, expecting a fun show. But Carti only stayed on camera for six minutes and then left—after collecting a duffle bag filled with cash, which was only half of the full amount promised.
Adin revealed there were actually two duffle bags, but Carti disappeared after taking one. To make matters worse, Adin had also arranged the rapper’s transport. He claimed Carti’s manager demanded a private jet, which Adin refused. As a result, Carti ended up stranded at the airport for ten hours.
Even though he lost money, Adin said the situation worked out in some ways. The stream became the most-watched on the platform at the time.
Later, Carti admitted things didn’t go as planned. He said, “That Adin Ross thing was not supposed to go that way. He’s just not my type—it’d be awkward.”
