Kenyan musician Kevin Bahati has revealed he was involved in a road accident just two days before his highly anticipated wedding to his longtime partner, Diana Marua.
The singer took to social media, where he shared news of the frightening incident, accompanied by images showing his badly damaged Toyota Prado, stating he is grateful to have come out of it alive.
“I just got involved in a bad road accident. My Prado is seriously damaged, but we thank God to be alive!” Bahati wrote.
He went on to suggest that the incident would not stop the couple from going ahead with their wedding, which is scheduled for Friday, November 6.
“The devil knows he can do nothing to stop #TheBahatisBigDay, so he is trying the impossible ways! This Friday, November 6, will be the best day of our lives in Jesus’ name. Everybody say AMEN,” he added.
Bahati announcement attracted an emotional response from Diana Marua, who took to the comment section to express her faith and reassure her husband.
“AMEN & AMEN!!!No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper in Jesus Name,” Diana wrote.
He described the damage to his vehicle as serious, though he did not provide further details about how the accident happened or whether anyone else was involved.
The accident comes amid growing public interest in the couple’s wedding, which has attracted attention partly because of the reported Ksh1 million invitation fee.
Despite the unfortunate incident, Bahati appeared determined not to let the accident interfere with their special day.
