The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has clarified the circumstances surrounding the arrest of a Burundian national who helped bury the body of 34-year-old Farida Peter Sangka in Isinya, Kajiado County.
In a statement, the DCI said preliminary investigations established that Ndayishimiye Deo, a farmhand employed by the deceased’s husband, Shon David Rabassa Kioko, participated in concealing the body after allegedly receiving instructions from his employer.
According to investigators, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Kioko summoned Deo and instructed him to help bury his wife’s body. Deo complied before returning to his residence, as he did not live on his employer’s premises.
Three days later, Kioko visited Isinya Police Station accompanied by his son and reported his wife missing, presenting her photograph to officers.
Meanwhile, Deo had informed a friend about the incident. The friend advised him to report the matter, prompting him to visit Kiserian Police Station on October 28.
His report led police to the shallow grave at a farm in Entarakuet, where Farida’s body was recovered.
The DCI said that although Deo’s report helped uncover the incident, his involvement in concealing the body does not exempt him from legal accountability.
Both Deo and Kioko remain in custody as detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the murder.
