The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) annual Corporate Golf Tournament has attracted more than 250 golfers to Vetlab Sports Club in Nairobi, bringing together participants for a day of competition, networking and stakeholder engagement.
The tournament features an 18-hole Stableford competition, with golfers battling for top honours throughout the afternoon. According to KPA, some participants who teed off in the morning had already completed the course, while others continued competing ahead of the evening prize-giving ceremony.
The champions were scheduled to be unveiled and crowned during a gala dinner later in the evening, marking the conclusion of the annual sporting event.
Beyond the sporting competition, KPA said the annual corporate golf tournament provides a platform for engaging stakeholders, particularly customers and business partners from Kenya’s hinterland markets.
The authority uses the event to interact with stakeholders, understand their specific needs and strengthen relationships that support customer service delivery and its broader strategic growth objectives.
The gathering also offers an opportunity for participants from different sectors to network and exchange ideas outside their usual business engagements.
KPA said the tournament supports its efforts to identify unique customer needs, improve service delivery and advance the authority’s strategic growth and development.

As a key institution in Kenya’s maritime and logistics sector, KPA serves businesses involved in cargo movement through the country’s port facilities. Maintaining relationships with hinterland stakeholders is important to understanding the needs of customers who depend on port services to move goods to and from domestic and regional markets.
The annual tournament combines sport with corporate engagement, providing the authority with an opportunity to interact directly with stakeholders while recognising the role of customer relationships in its operations.

The event’s 2026 edition brought together more than 250 golfers at Vetlab Sports Club, with the final standings and tournament champions expected to be announced at the evening gala dinner.
