Kenyan rapper Steve Simple Boy has announced his interest to venturing into politics, declaring his intention to vie for a parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election.
Speaking in an interview, Steve said he is considering vying for an MP seat within Nairobi County.
“By the way, nataka kuvie for MP either Kasarani, Lang’ata ama Kibera.”
Steve mention he hasn’t decided which political party he would pursue in the campaign. He stated he will start his campaign next week.
“Chama sjiaamua, but pia naweza kuwa independent. Campaign naanza next week pia,” he said.
Stevo Simple Boy now joins Kenyan celebrities who have expressed their interest in political seats in 2027 like musician KRG The Don will vie for parliamentary seat, Bahati gubernatorial seat, Samidoh parliamentary seat and Sammy Kioko parliamentary seat.
Other celebrities who have also shown interest include Thicky Sandra, Octopizzo, Cassypool, Corazon Kwamboka, MC Jessy, Saumu Mbuvi, among others.
