Kenyan rapper and singer Nyamari Ongegu, popularly known as Nyashinski, celebrated his fellow friend and musician David Mathenge, popularly known as Nameless, who marked 25 years in the Kenyan music industry.
Nameless celebrated the milestone with the Nameless @25 concert at the Carnivore Grounds in Nairobi on August 15. The event brought together artists from different generations to honor his career, which has been an influential in Kenya’s music scene.
Nyashinski celebrated Nameless for this milestone and the journey he has traveled since he began his music career.
“Super proud of my bro @namelesskenya for FINALLY doing this show! Been waiting patiently for this and my boy went ALL OUT! I’m blessed to be a part of the legendary 25 -year journey! Cheers to many more,” Nyashinski wrote.
Their friendship dates began back in decades, rooted in shared experiences of shaping the urban and contemporary sound of Nairobi.
Nyashinski was one of the artists who performed at the stage during the celebration, highlighting the friendship and professional relationship. He is included in the silver jubilee, sharing the trajectory of both artists. He started his career with Kleptomaniax before building a successful solo career.
