Hollywood Actress Rebel Wilson

Hollywood star Rebel Wilson claims she bullied women on her film were “absolute nonsense” at a high-profile defamation case against her in Sydney. Rebel was sued by an Australian actress Charlotte MacInnes, who stars in Wilson’s directorial debut, in a series of Instagram posts in 2024 and 2025.

The prosecutor asked if Rebel saw herself as “champion of women” as it ruined her reputation by calling her a liar for complaining about sexual harassment by producer Amanda Ghost. Though MacInnes says she never made such accusations.

Court documents are pointing to metadata from websites critical of Ghost that trace back to Wilson’s production company, Camp Sugar. Rebel has denied any involvement in creating or managing such sites.

The defamation case occurred back in September 2023, when MacInnes and producer Ghost went to Bondi beach for a late afternoon swim. However, Ghost submitted the water was cold and he was covered in red welts and shaking uncontrollably.

MacInnes is suing for aggravated damages over Rebel’s post to stop her from repeating the claims online. Rebel’s said she has been a champion of women throughout her 25years career, dismissing the bullying claims as baseless. She emphasized her commitment to fostering supportive environments in Hollywood and insisted on her reputation as comedic actress and a filmmaker.
