The government has intensified efforts to improve access to clean water, following a high-level meeting between Principal Secretaries Cyrell Wagunda and Julius Korir at Maji House in Nairobi.
Wagunda, who heads the State Department for Public Investments and Assets Management, paid a courtesy visit to Korir of the State Department for Water and Sanitation, where the two leaders discussed strategies to accelerate water supply projects across the country.
The meeting brought together senior officials, including leadership from the Public Private Partnerships (PPP) Directorate led by Director General Kefa Seda.

Top on the agenda was the use of Public Private Partnership (PPP) frameworks to expand water infrastructure and ensure more Kenyans gain access to safe and reliable water.
The two Principal Secretaries emphasized the need for stronger collaboration between government agencies and private sector players to fast-track implementation of key projects.

They committed to a “whole-of-government approach” (WOGA), aimed at enhancing coordination and efficiency in delivering essential services.
