President William Ruto’s healthcare reforms are bearing fruit. Social Health Authority (SHA) is transforming healthcare delivery and making Universal Health Coverage a reality.
Today, 29.8 million Kenyans are registered under SHA, bringing healthcare within reach for millions of families.
Primary healthcare services are now free at the point of care, removing the burden of cost and ensuring no one is left behind.
Across the country, 10,708 health facilities are delivering services, making care accessible in every region.
In just a short period, 19 million outpatient visits have been delivered, with 7.87 million Kenyans already treated through the programme.
The Government has committed KSh 20.57 billion to primary healthcare, with KSh 18.97 billion already paid directly to facilities to strengthen service delivery.
With 90% of claims settled, hospitals and clinics are better equipped to serve patients without delays.
Services are now available in all 47 counties, ensuring every Kenyan can access care closer to home.
Primary healthcare is now the first point of care for most Kenyans, helping people get treatment early and stay healthy.
