The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission on Friday held an executive meeting with representatives of senior Election Officers.
In a statement shared on their social media, the commission said the meeting was aimed to discuss staff welfare as a way to strengthen the operations of the electoral body.
The meeting held at Commission head office, was led by Acting Commission Secretary and Chief Executive Officer Moses Sunkuli. “The engagement reflects the Commission’s ongoing commitment to constructive internal dialogue, staff welfare and strengthening institutional capacity ,” read the statement.
The officers also underscored the crucial role they play in the Commission’s work, noting that they serve as Registration Officers during voter registration exercises .
