Bournemouth have completed the signing of Hungary midfielder Alex Toth from Ferencváros for an initial £10.4m.
The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year deal with the Cherries, with the agreement also including up to £2.6m in performance-related add-ons and a 10% sell-on clause in favour of the Hungarian champions.
Interest in Toth was strong, with Benfica, Galatasaray and Lazio all believed to be monitoring his situation.
The defensive midfielder, who has earned nine senior caps for Hungary, had previously played exclusively in his homeland.
After spending the 2023–24 campaign on loan at Soroksár, Toth made his Ferencváros debut in December 2024 and went on to make 52 appearances, scoring four goals.
He becomes Bournemouth’s third addition of the January transfer window, following the signings of goalkeeper Fraser Forster and defender Ade Solanke.
