Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo has asserted that the Luo community remains firmly united behind President William Ruto, dismissing attempts by Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya to influence the community’s political direction.
Odhiambo described Natembeya as an outsider with no mandate to speak on behalf of the Luo nation.
“The Governor of Trans Nzoia came to Bondo with some strange-looking cows, but beyond that, he has no authority to advise the Luo community. When the people’s president passed on, he left us in Canaan with William Ruto. Luos are not going anywhere — we stand united behind President Ruto,” Odhiambo said.
