Kenyan influencer and content creator Kenyan Prince has triggered fury once again after going on record to say that any guy who fails to provide his girlfriend with over KSh100,000 per month is “trash.”
The young celebrity is quoted as saying:
“Kama boyfriend yako hakupiei more than 100K a month, wewe ni takataka, wewe sio mtu.”
(Translation: If your boyfriend doesn’t give you more than 100K a month, you’re trash, you’re not even a person.)
The remark has since caused a furore on social media, with Kenyans torn between shock, anger, and laughter. Some criticized him for dishing out “toxic entitlement,” while others came to his defence, claiming he was merely highlighting the importance of financial security in relationships.
“Is he being serious or sarcastic? Either way, madness,” said one X user, with another chiming, “We can’t all go out with billionaires!
He is famous for his flamboyant lifestyle and no-holds-barred opinions. Online controversy is nothing new to Kenyan Prince.
