During his interview on Citizen TV, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua raised an issue about a satirical graphic that he alleged was created by President William Ruto’s allies to paint him in bad light.
The generated meme captured Gachagua peeping from the window when King Charles III was welcomed to State House Nairobi by President Ruto in November 2023.
Addressing the matter, the Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy, Dennis Itumbi, clarified that the satirical image was created by those against UDA at the time for social media banter.
Itumbi further disclosed that Gachagua made the president cancel a crucial Universal Health Coverage meeting for a two-hour session to discuss meme’s impact on his political standing.
Still on images, the digital strategist said Gachagua even complains about his poses in shared photos.
