Karan Patel from Kenya, the rally expert, closed his African Rally Championship (ARC) 2025 campaign in a remarkable manner after winning the Mkwawa Rally in Morogoro, Tanzania.
The Mkwawa Rally, the last stop on this year’s ARC course, witnessed Patel delivering a dominant display of force to take the first position. Yet, the overall continental crown went to Uganda’s Yassin Nasser, who was announced as the 2025 ARC champion, without winning any event during the season.
Kenya’s National Rally Champion Samman Vohra, who is going into the next season, was second in the ARC overall standings, thereby, confirming Kenya’s strong presence in the regional motorsport scene.
The ARC season for this year started with the legendary Safari Rally in Kenya and then passed through Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, and Tanzania, thus, narrating the rallying heritage of East Africa.
Patel’s triumph was a fitting way to say goodbye to Kenya, as the fan base in motorsport turned its gaze towards the upcoming championship for next year.
