An Eldoret man shared a video on social media capturing WhatsApp chats of his supposed wife, Anne Obati, cheating with a married man.
The now viral clip ended with him showing the lady’s belongings being taken away from his house, saying he had resolved to chase her away.
However, Obati has come out to clear the air.
In a series of posts on her Instagram Stories, Obati clarified that she broke up with the man, an IT professional, in November 2024 after he cheated and impregnated his side chick.
She also accused him of being violent, having assaulted her severely, and in one instance, removing her tooth. Obati claimed she had endured the assault and disrespect for three years before she decided to call it quits and relocate to Nairobi.
"This guy is a cheater himself a manipulator and a narcissist. He normally says hakuna kitu mtu anaeza mfanyia ako na connections. Huyu mtu ameenda kupost such hataki kuachika," said Obati.
The beauty further dismissed the notion that she had been chased from the house as depicted in the video, clarifying that she had travelled to Eldoret to pick up her belongings from the house.
"After I left that 7 months ago, I was done to an extent where I was like ata sitaki kuchukua vitu zangu wacha akae nazo...so my things zimekuwa uko since November. So he had hopes that tutarudiana ju sijawai chukua anything from the house. He used to threaten me that kujia vitu zako.So jana niliona enough is enough, took a flight, came to Eldoret and reported the matter of cyberbullying. Nikafika station, I explained myself nikaulizwa nataka aje? Nikawashow, I want them to escort me and take my things. I told them I can't go alone because my life inaeza kuwa in danger coz he's a violent. They agreed to escort me. So from the video, he didn't chase me out, I was picking my belongings," narrated Obati.The businesswoman shared screenshots of their conversations with the man begging her not to leave.
Obati accused her ex of refusing to let go and being bitter that their once promising relationship is a thing of the past.
