Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has reiterated his commitment to fighting corruption and pushing for governance reforms, saying his mission to secure accountability and justice for Kenyans remains firm.

Speaking during a public consultation at Miharati Shopping Centre in Kipipiri Constituency, Nyandarua County, after attending a church service, Gachagua declared that his resolve to end impunity in government is “undeterred.”

“Our resolve to get rid of wanton corruption, extrajudicial killings, mismanagement of resources, and disrespect for our system of governance remains undeterred,” Gachagua said.

He added that his focus is on ushering in a governance system built on respect for the rule of law and geared towards improving the lives of ordinary citizens.

The former Deputy President has in recent weeks stepped up his engagements with the public across Mount Kenya and other regions, positioning himself as a defender of accountability and the welfare of the people.

“We remain focused and uninterrupted in our efforts to bring in a new governance system, respect for the rule of law, and the betterment of the people of Kenya,” he said in Nyandarua.
