The May/June 2025 Pearson Edexcel exam candidates can now collect their results, Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) announced.
In its notice issued on Thursday, KNEC announced that results are ready for those candidates who sat for three different levels of tests: the International Primary and Lower Secondary Curriculum (IPLSC) for Year 6 and 9, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), and the International Advanced Level (IAL) tests.
KNEC asked all applicants to collect their results from points specified depending on where they had applied.
Nairobi results are in the Foreign Examinations Office at Mitihani House in South C. In Mombasa, they are available for collection at the Uhuru na Kazi Building, 4th floor. Uasin Gishu results can be collected at Gulab Lochab Academy in Eldoret.
These examinations fall under an international assessment system run by Pearson Edexcel, a British body. In Kenya, KNEC registers and conducts these exams for private candidates but only in the cities of Nairobi, Mombasa, and Eldoret.
This comes just a month after KNEC announced Kenya would sit for an international test on education known as the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) for the first time.
The trial, to be launched in September, will be conducted by volunteer schools throughout the country.
It will focus on 15- and 16-year-olds and evaluate how effectively they can use what they have learned in real life in particular, reading, mathematics, and science compared to just memorizing facts.
“PISA is a chance for us to learn how our students measure up against the world,” KNEA said in a statement last month. “It will also help us to better align the curriculum of schools and make more informed educational decisions.”
As schoolchildren pick up their Edexcel results, this is not only a moment of relief from stress but the start of education’s next steps.
