Marcus Rashford debuts for Barcelona.

Marcus Rashford made his competitive debut as Barcelona kicked off their La Liga title defence with a controversial win over nine-man Mallorca at Kasarani Stadium.

Raphinha and Ferran Torres scored early, with the latter’s goal coming while Mallorca captain Antonio Raíllo lay injured.

Manu Morlanes saw red for two bookings, and Vedat Muriqi was sent off after a VAR review for a high boot on debutant keeper Joan García.

Despite the two-man advantage, Barça’s third came in stoppage time through Lamine Yamal.

Rashford, on loan from Manchester United, came on in the 69th minute, becoming the first English player to feature for Barcelona since Gary Lineker in 1989.

He and García were only registered hours before kick-off due to financial issues.
