Chelsea have reignited their pursuit of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, with the 21-year-old Argentine reportedly available for transfer this summer.

New United head coach Ruben Amorim is said to be open to Garnacho leaving, as the player is believed to be seeking a fresh challenge away from Old Trafford.

Garnacho was close to joining Chelsea during the January transfer window, and sources suggest he was confident the move would go through.

Although a deal wasn’t finalized, there has been a lingering expectation that Stamford Bridge could be his eventual destination.

From a financial standpoint, United could benefit significantly from selling Garnacho.

Having signed him from Atlético Madrid at just 16, he qualifies as a ‘home-grown’ player, meaning any transfer fee would count as pure profit under the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

However, it remains unclear whether United will be able to command their initial £60 million valuation for the winger as the window progresses.
