Menengai East MCA aspirant John Wahinya has called for national unity and an end to divisive political rhetoric as the country inches closer to the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with Tukio News, Wahinya urged leaders from all political affiliations to focus on issue-based politics that promote peace, development, and cohesion among Kenyans.

“Let us unite Kenyans and move away from toxic political rhetoric. The country is tired of leaders who are constantly fighting instead of serving,” he said.

Wahinya expressed concern over early political campaigns and rising tribal undertones, warning that such trends could destabilize the progress made since the last election.

“It’s time we reject leaders who thrive on division. What Kenyans want is better healthcare, jobs, and security — not political noise,” he added.

He also encouraged youth to be vigilant and avoid being manipulated by politicians with selfish interests.
