Norway became the first team to book a place in the Women’s Euro 2025 quarter-finals with a 2-1 win over Finland, followed by Switzerland’s 2-0 victory against already-eliminated Iceland.

Caroline Graham Hansen’s late winner gave Norway six points from two Group A games.

With Switzerland’s win, Norway have secured top spot with a game to spare and will face the runners-up of Group B in the last eight.

Eva Nystrom’s own goal gave Norway the lead, and they nearly doubled it after hitting the woodwork twice in quick succession.

Finland equalised through Oona Sevenius, and Eveliina Summanen came close to putting them ahead, only for Norway keeper Cecilie Fiskerstrand to tip her shot onto the post.

Hansen eventually sealed the win, despite missing a golden chance minutes earlier. Switzerland are second in the group, while Iceland are out with two losses.
