The National Super League champions Nairobi United ‘Naibois’ were crowned 2025 Mozzart Bet Cup winner after beating Gor Mahia 2-1 at the Ulinzi Sports Complex on Sunday evening.
In the sixth minute Frank Ouya’s overhead kick earned Naibois the first goal but Gor’s Ben Stanley Omondi scored equaliser in the 37th minute.
The first half ended in a draw with both sides trading missed chances in an evenly contested affair.
The second half briefly morphed into a snoozefest before livening up once again as K’Ogalo went in search for the winner.
Former FC Talanta midfielder Enock Machaka calmly slotted home what would turn out to be the winner, putting his side on the verge of a fairytale double.
The victory, not only earned Nairobi United their first-ever major title but also a Ksh 2 million cash prize and a historic ticket to represent Kenya in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
