Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor John Barorot has announced his resignation.
He made the announcement during a meeting with senior county staff at the Eka Hotel in Eldoret, alongside Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii.
A formal statement regarding his resignation is expected to be issued soon from the Uasin Gishu County headquarters.
A reliable source has hinted that the DG was in good terms with his boss and might have resigned to pursue her personal activities .

Last week, Barorot, known for his reserved demeanor and simple lifestyle, missed most of the preparations for Eldoret’s city status, though he did participate in one event where he acknowledged the media’s role in promoting the new city.
