The National Assembly’s Committee on Appointments has commenced the second set of approval hearings today, with proceedings taking place at County Hall, Mini-Chamber starting at 10:00 a.m.
The four-day marathon exercise is being presided over by Speaker Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Moses Wetang’ula, who chairs the committee.
The committee is tasked with vetting two key nominees for cabinet positions.

The first nominee to be vetted is Ms. Beatrice Asukul Moe, who has been nominated as the Cabinet Secretary for East African Community (EAC) Affairs and Regional Development. Her hearing began at 10:00 a.m.
This occurs a day after president William Ruto on Wednesday presided over the swearing in of 19 cabinet secretaries at State house Nairobi.
