President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to empowering women, particularly those from marginalized regions, and ensuring their inclusion in the country’s decision-making processes.
On Thursday, the president met grassroots women leaders from Wajir, Mandera, and Garissa Counties.

He emphasized the crucial role women play in the nation’s development.
“We are all better off when our women — especially those from marginalised areas — are empowered and included in decision-making. We will engage women leaders in the management of the affairs of our country to ensure inclusive development,” he said.

President Ruto assured the leaders of his continued support in addressing these challenges.

“We must ensure that our development initiatives reach every corner of our nation, and this starts by empowering the women who are the backbone of our communities.”
