Gladys Wanga has urged members of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to remain united and focused following the party’s challenging period after the loss of leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking on Wednesday during the JKL Live show on Citizen TV, Wanga acknowledged the difficulties faced by the party but expressed confidence in its ability to stabilise and move forward.

“We have been through a difficult path, we have had a rough patch with the loss of Baba, and we are steadying the ship. Trust us to steady it,” she said.

She added that ODM is now preparing for the next general election and aims to form a government.

“We will move into next year, and we will move into forming a government in the coming election, which is the intention of any political party,” Wanga said.

The ODM chairperson called on grassroots members to remain committed, work hard to retain existing seats, gain more, and solidify the party’s position.

“I want to ask our members, especially at the grassroots, to hold on, work hard to retain our seats, gain more, and solidify the party,” she emphasized, noting that ODM continues to be one of the largest political forces in the region.
