The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has emerged as the most preferred political party in Kenya, according to a new opinion poll released by research firm Infotrak.
The findings, published on Sunday, December 28, 2025, provide fresh insight into the country’s political mood as parties begin positioning themselves ahead of future electoral contests.
The survey was conducted using computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI), with a sample of 1,000 adults drawn from all 47 counties and Kenya’s eight regions, offering a nationally representative outlook.
Respondents were asked to state their preferred political party, revealing UDA as the leading choice nationally with 23 per cent support. The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) followed closely in second place with 19 per cent.
Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) ranked third at 6 per cent, while Jubilee Party garnered 5 per cent support. Wiper Patriotic Front Party completed the top five with 4 per cent.
While the national figures point to a competitive political landscape, regional data reveals sharper contrasts in party support.
UDA recorded overwhelming backing in the North Eastern region, where 73 per cent of respondents identified it as their preferred party.
The ruling party also maintained strong support in the Rift Valley, registering 37 per cent — reinforcing its dominance in a region that formed its core support base in the last general election.
ODM, on the other hand, continues to enjoy strong backing in its traditional strongholds.
The party led in Nyanza with 41 per cent support and also posted strong numbers at the Coast, where it recorded 31 per cent, reflecting its enduring influence in the region.
