Ruto Strengthens Ties with Kuwait to Boost Development and Trade

President William Ruto has reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to its partnership with Kuwait, highlighting the significant role the Gulf nation has played in Kenya’s development.

Speaking after a meeting with Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, President Ruto noted the progress made in infrastructure development through their cooperation.

“Over the years, Kuwait has established itself as a valuable partner to Kenya in matters of development. Through our cooperation, we have witnessed major infrastructural developments that have enhanced our country’s transformation journey,” President Ruto stated.

During their discussions, both leaders agreed to focus on enhancing trade and investment between their nations.

The agenda includes investing in education, developing Special Economic Zones, implementing labor agreements, and facilitating access to markets for Kenyan products.

President Ruto emphasized the importance of these initiatives in driving economic growth and creating job opportunities for Kenyans.

He expressed optimism about the potential for increased collaboration, particularly in sectors that can stimulate sustainable development in both countries.
