President William Ruto on Wednesday Morning underscored the importance of deepening Kenya’s partnership with the Ismaili Imamat.
He said this during a meeting with His Highness Prince Rahim Al Hussaini Aga Khan’s envoy, H.E. Sultan Ali Allana, at State House Nairobi.
Ruto in a statement said he had extended an invitation to the Aga Khan to visit Kenya for the signing of a landmark agreement recognizing the Ismaili Imamat, alongside the conferment of Kenya’s highest civil honour, the Chief of the Order of the Golden Heart (C.G.H.).

“I was pleased to welcome His Highness Prince Rahim Al Hussaini Aga Khan’s envoy, H.E. Sultan Ali Allana, State House, Nairobi. I have extended an invitation for His Highness the Aga Khan to visit Kenya for the signing of an agreement for the recognition of the Ismaili Imamat and for the conferment of Kenya’s highest civil honours, the Chief of the Order of the Golden Heart (C.G.H.). I appreciate the work undertaken by the AKDN in Kenya, especially in health and education.” he stated.
Ruto expressed appreciation for the Aga Khan Development Network’s (AKDN) extensive work in Kenya, particularly in health and education sectors, which he said have significantly contributed to national development.
He conveyed optimism that the upcoming agreement would further consolidate the historic ties between Kenya and the Ismaili community, fostering greater collaboration and investment.
