Police in Likoni have arrested a man believed to be behind a spate of violent robberies that have rocked the coastal region in recent weeks.
In a late-night operation, police arrested 27-year-old Paul Odhiambo Magoya at the Prestige Guest House in Mariakani, where he had been hiding.
Inside his room, officers recovered a CZ pistol — a weapon suspected to have been used to terrorize innocent locals.
The firearm has since been handed over to ballistic experts at the National Forensic Laboratory as investigations intensify.
Authorities say this arrest is part of a larger crackdown on armed criminals who have been wreaking havoc in the area.
