Rachel Ruto Presides Over PBO Week Launch At KICC

First Lady Rachel Ruto, officially opened the Public Benefits Organisation (PBO) 2026, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, Ministry of Interior and Administration and Moses Mabonga Chairperson of Public Benefits Organisation Regulation Authority.

The PBO, has brought together different stakeholders, International partners, civil society, government representatives and community groups, all aiming to discuss the role of public benefit organizations in national development.

Rachel, emphasised the importance of PBO in the community urging it’s role is to drive development, social support, promoting economic empowerment, advancing education and improving healthcare access especially among women and youth.

The theme of Public Benefits Organisation is: New Dawn in Action, Celebrating Impact, Connecting Voices and Collaboration for Transformation. It will provide exhibitions, panel discussions, and networking forums designed to enhance cooperation and innovation within the sector.

She called for a strong foundation that will provide a trust of clarity, confidence, accountability and credibility that will impact the public as will embrace networking.

It is also aim at strengthening collaborations between the government and the public while highlighting charitable organisations to Kenya’s economy and the Non-Government Organisation (NGO), to boost the economic of Kenya.
