Energy Principal Secretary Alex Wachira joined fellow government leaders in a high-level forum convened to engage key stakeholders from the Mt. Kenya region, focusing on strategies to enhance development and improve service delivery across the area.

During the forum, participants identified several priority areas for development, including road infrastructure, rural electrification, access to irrigation water, and youth empowerment.

The initiatives are aimed at driving inclusive growth and improving the livelihoods of local communities.

PS Wachira emphasized that these efforts are in line with President William Ruto’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), highlighting the government’s commitment to equitable development, fostering inclusive growth, and creating lasting opportunities for citizens across all regions.

“The forum provided an opportunity to align regional development priorities with national strategies, ensuring that every citizen benefits from the country’s growth agenda,” said PS Wachira.

The forum reflects the government’s continued push to bridge development gaps and deliver tangible results for Kenyans, particularly in under-served rural areas.
