President William Ruto has expressed his condolences following a tragic road accident along the Kisumu-Kakamega Highway that claimed 25 lives.
In an official statement, the President called on traffic authorities to act swiftly in investigating the incident, holding accountable any individuals whose negligence may have contributed to the crash.
He also urged enforcement agencies to crack down on traffic violations to enhance road safety nationwide.

“Our prayers are with the victims of the terrible accident that occurred tonight on the Kisumu-Kakamega Highway. May the Almighty give strength to the families to bear the loss. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” Ruto said.
The accident involved a school bus transporting mourners from Nyahera to Nyakach in Kisumu County.
The vehicle reportedly lost control and rolled while attempting to navigate a corner at the Coptic blackspot — a location known for frequent accidents.
