President William Ruto on May 31, 2025, welcomed Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar to State House, Nairobi, as she began her three-day official State Visit to Kenya.

President Musar received full ceremonial honors, including a 21-gun salute and inspection of a Guard of Honour mounted by the 19 Kenya Rifles. The two Heads of State later held bilateral talks and issued a joint press statement.

Later, President Musar visited the Uhuru Gardens National Monument and Museum, where she was received by Kenya Army Commander Lt. Gen. David Tarus. She laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, honoring fallen soldiers, with a troop-in-line parade and a moment of silence observed in their memory.

The visit underscores growing ties between Kenya and Slovenia in areas of mutual interest, including security, heritage, and diplomatic cooperation.
