Socila media influencer Pauline Njoroge has resigned from the Jubilee Party, ending a 14-year association with the political outfit to fully dedicate herself to the Linda Mwananchi movement.
In a statement released on Monday, Njoroge announced her resignation as Deputy Organizing Secretary, a member of the Jubilee Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), and as an ordinary member of the party with immediate effect.
She described the decision as difficult but necessary, saying she was ready to embrace a new chapter in her political journey.
“I believe the time has come to embrace a new chapter,” she said, adding that every meaningful journey reaches a point where one must move into a new season.
Njoroge joined The National Alliance (TNA) in 2012 as Communications Manager before the party merged with the United Republican Party (URP) to form the Jubilee Party. She continued serving in the new outfit and later rose to become Deputy Organizing Secretary.
Reflecting on her political career, she said the 14 years had been transformational, giving her an opportunity to serve during one of Kenya’s most significant political periods while sharpening her expertise in politics and strategic communications.
Njoroge also paid tribute to former President Uhuru Kenyatta, describing him as a mentor, teacher and political father who entrusted her with leadership responsibilities and invested in her personal and professional growth.
She said the former Head of State exposed her to leadership and governance experiences both locally and internationally, broadening her understanding of public service.
Despite leaving Jubilee, Njoroge said she would remain grateful to Kenyatta and continue to value his guidance and counsel.
Explaining her decision, Njoroge said her involvement with the Linda Mwananchi movement since February had convinced her that it offers a platform for advancing good governance, constitutionalism, accountability and servant leadership.
She added that the movement aligns with the broader “Wantam” call for political transition and national renewal founded on integrity, respect for the rule of law and people-centred leadership.
“It is for this reason that I have made the difficult but deeply considered decision to dedicate myself fully to this cause,” she said.
Njoroge said Linda Mwananchi is committed to defending constitutionalism, protecting human rights and amplifying the voices of ordinary Kenyans while advocating leadership founded on service and accountability.
She concluded by expressing gratitude to Jubilee Party leaders and members for the relationships and experiences gained over the years, saying she now looks forward to serving Kenyans through her new political path.
