Nairobi United have revamped their technical bench as the club prepares for a demanding run of fixtures in January, a period expected to shape its debut season in the SportPesa League and its continental campaign.
The club has appointed Bonface Omondi Musa (CAF B), formerly of Kariobangi Sharks, as assistant coach, while Sadique Ambani Waziri (CAF B) joins from Ulinzi Stars as the second assistant coach. Former Kenya international Kevin Kimani, a FIFA-certified trainer, has also been brought on board as the new strength and conditioning coach.
Technical Director Salim Ramadhan Ali said the changes are intended to further improve the team’s competitiveness as Nairobi United target major honours in the new year.
“This revamp is aimed at strengthening the team as we seek to make more history by winning the SportPesa League and retaining the Mozzart Cup,” Ali said.
Head coach Nicholas Muyoti welcomed the additions, noting that the expanded technical team will be key to managing the intense schedule ahead and achieving the club’s ambitions for the season.
Nairobi United are set to resume league action later this month while also balancing commitments on the continental stage, with January expected to be a defining period for the club’s campaign.
