Prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi has praised Kakamega Catholic bishop Joseph Obanyi for clearing up confusion around Social Health Authority, SHA funds sent to St Mary’s Mission Hospital in Mumias.

Musalia said the bishop’s actions brought clarity to what had become an overblown situation.

Mudavadi pointed out how Obanyi’s statement backed up his own earlier claims about the payments being handled properly. He called it a straightforward move showing leadership qualities more officials should copy these days where politics often muddies things up.

‘I take this opportunity to once again commend the Catholic Church and the wider faith-based community for their steadfast partnership with government in the noble task of delivering health care to our people. Their contribution remains an indispensable pillar in our collective pursuit of a healthier, more dignified nation,’ he said.

Musalia took time to recognize how religious groups like the Catholic Church keep partnering with state health systems across Kenya basically keeping services running in many areas people depend on daily you know their clinics and hospitals fill gaps government alone can’t manage yet especially upcountry.

He specifically mentioned health cs Aden Duale stepping in fast to keep St Mary’s operational despite payment hitches plus Kakamega governor Fernandez Barasa staying open to coordination talks instead of turning it into some turf war thing between county and national levels.
