The Kenya Revenue Authority has announced that its iTax system will be shut down for four hours on Sunday.
In a notice issued on Saturday, KRA announced that the iTax system will be shut down from 6 pm to 10 pm on Sunday.
This implies that on Sunday, from 6 pm to 10 pm, taxpayers will not be in a position to access the iTax system to carry out their activities, which will include filing their returns and making payments.
According to KRA, the four-hour break is to enhance the efficiency of the system, including its speed and security.
The KRA has now asked Kenyans to plan and ensure they carry out their activities before the system is shut down.

The KRA has announced that the four-hour break is a short break, apologizing to Kenyans for any inconvenience that may come their way due to the shutting down of the system.
The authority has also announced that anyone who runs into problems can reach out through its official customer care channels.
