Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Wednesday met leaders from Nandi County to review the progress of key government development projects and agree on measures to accelerate their implementation.
This consultative meeting was held at the official residence of the Deputy President in Karen, Nairobi, and it included the County Governor, Senator and Members of the National Assembly of Nandi.
The second in comand said he met with leaders of the county to identify development projects that the government has initiated and to plan ways of fast-tracking their implementation.
Kindiki stated that the meeting sought to identify the state, rate and effect of such development projects that are underway in the county; including electrical water road educational health and market infrastructure developments.
“Met the Governor, Senator and Members of the National Assembly from Nandi County to review progress of electricity, water, road, education, health, markets and other Government projects ongoing across the county.” said Kindiki
He said that the leaders agreed upon some means to quicken up the work on the projects and at the same time to increase the quality of the services offered to the people of the county.
The DP added that county authorities should keep collaborating to guarantee that the work of the contractors should be a priority to disseminate the messages of the government and development activities.
This meeting is one of the many government efforts to remain engaged with the county leaders through checking on progress and encouraging better implementation of the development projects in various counties.
