Access to justice in Khwisero Constituency, Kakamega County has been radically facilitated through the reopening of the local court which was closed following a full renovation.

During the unveiling event, Senior Butere Court Judge Edwin Wasike expressed that the Butere Law Court had been heavily loaded with such a large backlog of cases that it had become necessary for people to travel far and wide to get judicial services. He argued that the newly decorated Khwisero Court would not only relieve the Butere courts of their heavy workload but also facilitate quick justice delivery and, thus, reduce the number of abandoned cases due to lost evidence.

It is anticipated that the reopening of the facility after a complete renovation will not only be a milestone for the area but also the court system will be resuscitated with the capacity to serve thousands of people spread across the ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌constituency.
